| Special Days |
Nothing says “summer” quite like Camp Special Days.
Special Days are scheduled on various days throughout
the month. Check out the Camp Calendar to find Super
Water Slide Day, Taco Day, Pine Car Derby, Luau Day,
Sleepover, and Summer Olympics, just to name a few! |
 |
| Field Trips |
The middle of the week is the most adventurous time for
Turning Point Campers because Wednesday is field trip
day. Trips will include Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier, a
day at the beach, Soak City at Knott’s Berry Farm, Rock
Climbing, and a day at the movies. What a blast! (Please
note that not all campers go on all field trips.) |
| Game Room |
The Game Room returns with its hours of non-stop
amusement and fun. Pop-a-Shot is geared up for basketball
shoot-outs, arcade games are revved up to go, Dance
Dance Revolution is on deck for you to boogie the day
away. Also, foos-ball, air hockey, and carom boards are just
a few of the interactive games that await you this summer.
Game Room Week also promises two extra special arcade
games to challenge all the kings and queens of the arcade
out there. Time in the Game Room is prized by Turning
Point campers year after year. |
| Placements |
Campers will be divided into groups of approximately
20 children. Groups will be based on enrollment, but placement
decisions will be made according to each camper’s
developmental needs. For these reasons, enrollment in a
particular group cannot be guaranteed. Each group will
be supervised by a full-time teacher, a full-time assistant,
and in most groups, a part-time junior counselor. If you
have any questions regarding placement, please contact
Zach Hinkle at 310.841.2505 ext. 108. |
| Camp Sleepover |
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a
sleepover with fifty of your closest friends? At our Turning
Point Summer Camp sleepover, in our very own gymnasium,
you will have the chance to find out! You will enjoy extra
play time, late night games, a pizza dinner, a movie on the
gym’s big screen, a gourmet breakfast in the morning,
followed by a taco lunch provided by camp. There will be
an early afternoon dismissal for those campers (Cougars
and Panthers) who have slept over. |

Women's Volleyball
The strength of our Middle School volleyball team is legendary within the Pacific Basin League, and continues to be a source of pride for the whole school. In Levels 4 and 5, any girl who has an interest in volleyball can join our inclusive Elementary division team. As the training grows more rigorous and more demanding skills are mastered, the young women discover that sportsmanship and drive characterize the members of our Middle School sports teams. When it comes to organized sports, Turning Point always emphasizes team spirit and personal effort over competition. But when it comes to Women's Volleyball, we have no problem speaking about our great success while maintaining a philosophy of fair play.
