Morning Care

Turning Point is happy to provide supervised Morning Care, every school day, free of charge. Morning Care begins at 7:30 am and continues until the official start of the school day for each Division, respectively.

After School Care

General After School Care is offered almost every day for a daily fee from dismissal time until 6:00 pm for parents who are not able to pick up their child(ren) at the regular daily dismissal time. After School Care is offered in all three Divisions, and each Division of the program is tailored to meet the needs of the age of the population.

The daily rate for After School Care is $20. If you purchase 50 days or more at one time, the daily rate is $18 per day. Any unused days will be refunded or rolled over to the following school year.

New to After Care in Fall 2016: As part of After School Care, “Being Da Vinci” instructor Ms. Ariel will hold an open studio for students in Levels 2-8 every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 pm.  Using art as a lens to explore our world, students will have the opportunity to choose a subject matter, explore art studio techniques and materials, and create with freedom of expression.  This studio time will allow students to work freely outside a structured class environment in the areas of their interest, with encouragement and guidance from a visual artist. There is no extra fee, this option exists for all Levels 2-8 students enrolled in After School Care on Mondays and Wednesday.

The youngest students (Primary, Level K, and Level 1) spend the first hour of the afternoon on the Primary Playground, engaging in supervised play and having snack. The group then moves inside to a classroom space dedicated to the After School Care program. After daily story time, the students are given an opportunity to engage in a structured activity or an art project introduced by After School Care staff members. Students are also given some free choice time with the many games, puzzles, manipulatives and materials in the classroom. Students in Levels K and 1 are provided with supervised homework time as well.

Students in Levels 2 - 5 begin the afternoon with snack and Recess on the Grassy Area. From 4:00 - 5:00 pm they move indoors to the Library for a homework study hour. Students remaining after 5:00 pm may choose from a variety of indoor activities, including games and art projects. On Mondays and Wednesdays, students who elect to attend the open art studio between 4:30 - 5:30 pm may do so.

Middle School students also begin with snack and outdoor time, followed by a homework study session in the Building 1 Media and Research Lab. After completing this study hour, remaining Middle School students engage in supervised activities around campus. On Mondays and Wednesdays, students who elect to attend the open art studio between 4:30 - 5:30 pm may do so.
