Morning Care

Turning Point is happy to provide supervised Morning Care, every school day, at no additional cost. Morning Care begins at 7:30 am and continues until the official start of the school day for each Division, respectively.

After School Care

After School Care is offered almost every day for a daily fee from dismissal time until 6:00 pm for parents who are not able to pick up their child(ren) at the regular daily dismissal time. After School Care is offered in all three Divisions, and each Division of the program is tailored to meet the needs of the age of the student population.

The daily rate for After School Care is $20. If you purchase 50 days or more at one time, the daily rate is $18 per day. Any unused days will be refunded or rolled over to the following school year.

The youngest students (Primary, Kindergarten and Grade 1) spend the first hour of the afternoon on the Primary playground, engaging in supervised play and enjoying snack. The group then moves inside to a classroom where they enjoy daily story time followed by a structured activity or an art project facilitated by After School Care teachers. Students also have free choice time to work with games, puzzles, manipulatives and materials in the classroom. Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 are provided with supervised homework time as well.

Students in Grades 2-5 begin the afternoon with snack and recess. From 4:00 - 5:00 pm they move indoors to the Library for a homework study hour. Students remaining after 5:00 pm may choose from a variety of indoor activities, including games and art projects. On Mondays and Wednesdays, “Being Da Vinci” instructor Ms. Ariel holds an open studio for students in Grades 2-8 from 4:30-5:30 pm. Using art as a lens to explore our world, students choose a subject matter, explore art studio techniques and materials, and create with freedom of expression. There is no extra fee to participate in art studio.

Middle school students also begin with snack and outdoor time, followed by a homework study session in the Building 1 Media and Research Lab. After completing this study hour, remaining middle school students engage in supervised activities around campus. On Mondays and Wednesdays, students may elect to attend open art studio where they choose a subject matter, explore art studio techniques and materials, and create with freedom of expression.
