Middle School Division (Grades 6 through 8)
Turning Point Middle School students experience the formative adolescent years in a close-knit community that celebrates each individual’s strengths. Each facet of our program addresses the whole student, providing many opportunities to shine. A personalized approach and supportive atmosphere encourages and nurtures mutually respectful relationships critical to cognitive and emotional growth.
Turning Point’s Middle School develops leaders and innovators through a diverse, interdisciplinary curriculum that encourages the adaptable, entrepreneurial spirit required for success in the 21st century. Self-directed learners exercise critical independent thought while honing important communication skills and developing a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and its application.
Turning Point addresses students’ growing desire for independence and need for social learning by cultivating self-knowledge along with a sense of community responsibility. Students learn to value risk-taking, developing resilience and learning to appreciate challenge as the key to growth. Our graduates emerge as confident citizens fully prepared for their choice of high school and beyond.
Middle School students are asked to play a very thoughtful role in the process of their own development as they are encouraged to think critically, take calculated risks, value collaboration, articulate their talents and challenges, and, ultimately, find their unique voice. Turning Point graduates truly reflect the success of this model as they approach high school, college, and beyond with confidence and grace. They matriculate to over 28 competitive high schools locally, nationally, and internationally, and have been accepted to over 200 colleges and universities upon graduation from high school.
