TURNINGPOINT School is a leading co-educational,
independent Primary, Elementary, and Middle day school, located in Culver
City, CA. The Primary Division is Montessori based and educates children
2 years, 10 months old to 5 years, 6 months old; the traditional Elementary
Division is composed of Kindergarten to Level 5; the Middle School houses
Levels 6-8.
TURNINGPOINT's internship program is designed primarily, although
not exclusively, for those who are pursuing a teaching credential.
Interns work under the supervision of a mentor teacher, assist children
in small group and individual settings, and are responsible for maintaining
the classroom environment. The full-time internship positions are
for the traditional school calendar beginning in September and continuing
through the following June. Salary is competitive and includes a complete
medical, dental and vision benefits package.
Intern appointments are for one year only, although on completion
of a successful year it is not unusual for an Intern to be offered
a subsequent contract. Thus, each year there are typically a handful
of openings in the Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Divisions.
Interns are also welcome to apply for a Head teaching position if
one should become available and if they meet all of the Head teacher
qualifications. Most Interns work toward their teaching credential
in one of the local universities while in the Intern program.
TURNINGPOINT is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements for the positions are:
Undergraduate
degree for elementary positions.
Twelve
ECE units for primary positions.
Interviews for these positions begin in March each year. Please
