Testimonials

"After meeting the teachers and faculty and seeing how wonderful the classrooms are, we knew this would be the place for our son to thrive and grow. Upon learning all about the new building and expansion, we knew we wanted to be an integral part of helping to build what will truly be a state-of-the-art facility. We are proud to be a part of building the new campus that will offer green spaces and creative places for Turning Point School students."

"There is a smile on Jack's face every single day that we pick him up from school. Thanks to the teachers and faculty for providing a safe, happy and healthy place for our son."

"When we applied to Turning Point two years ago, we were excited to learn about the upcoming expansion, which included a green playing Field, a larger theatre and expanded art and science facilities. We recognize that our children will not reap the benefits of this wonderful expansion unless everyone does what they can to makeit happen."

"We believe that great people come from all social, economic, racial and religious backgrounds. Having said that, it is of utmost importance that our children's school culture embraces those differences. In addition, we want our children to receive the best education we can give them. At Turning Point School, we do not have to choose between these two ideals--we can provide both for our children."

"We are so grateful to have found Turning Point School and love what it offers our children. With expansion, the programs and facilities will be some of the best in the city. We wanted to make a difference and here our gift really means something substantial."

"The first time I walked through the doors at Turning Point school, I immediately felt that warm and fuzzy feeling. It was wonderful looking at all of the artwork and photographs in the halls, and meeting some of the Turning Point students was amazing. I just knew that this would be a great place for my boys."

"I consider it part of my ‘job’ as a stay-at-home parent, to be involved as much as I possibly can in the boys’ school and their activities. I think the best gift you can give a child is simply your time and attention. Besides, I love being a part of their lives and the school."

"We were motivated to make this gift to Turning Point School basically since we place significant value on providing an environment in which our three boys have the opportunity to learn and grow. We love Turning Point School, and after having experienced six years of public school with our oldest son, we came to Turning Point School and have never looked back. While our oldest will move on after this year, we wanted to help Turning Point School take the next step with the expansion so that our younger kids and others will have the opportunity to enjoy and develop under an expanded curriculum that the new space will allow the school to offer. We are happy and feel very fortunate to be a part of the Turning Point family. This is a way for us to give something back to the School and the family. -Deborah May and Ted Suzuki

From the beginning we were so impressed with the Turning Point's teachers, and how they brought such ingenuity and freshness to teaching. The children we saw at the classroom observation weren't just learning, weren't just having fun, but were engaged seamlessly in both. And we have grown to see that has played out beautifully throughout the school, with the graduates confident, well-rounded young men and women. We wanted to try to enhance that for our son and his generation, and to say ‘thank you’ for those who came before us and made the school what it is today." -Milinda McNeely and Stephen Plum

"We support the school’s goal of developing the new space to offer even more outstanding educational and recreational opportunities. A great school needs a great facility. We love the caring teachers, well organized administration, nice families, and above all, Deborah Richman, whose warmth, intelligence and expertise in education are truly inspiring."

We could think of no better investment for our children’s future than to give to Turning Point School. After all, for 12 years they have grown up at Turning Point. Their academic knowledge and skills have been learned at Turning Point. Their personal friendships and community values developed at Turning Point. We gave because we believed the more Turning Point has to give the more our children benefit.

We have been at Turning Point for 13 years and each year reconfirms what we knew day one. Turning Point is the perfect fit for both our kids and our family. It has provided interesting learning opportunities in a nurturing environment, appreciates the unique quality of each child, places emphasis on kids being good communicators, citizens, students and friends, and has prepared our oldest for high school life. We realized early on that we wanted to commit our time and resources to our children's education and made it a focus of our giving. The contributions we've made are not just about our kids. Our oldest experienced the benefits of our current campus and our youngest will see the benefit of the new campus for her eighth grade year. As important, younger families and future generations of children will benefit in the many years ahead. We feel our contributions along with the contributions of others will have a direct positive impact on our community for years to come. That's a great feeling and use of your resources.
