Ground Breaking Annoucement
by Board of Trustees President Bob Levin
At the Back to School Picnic - September 13th, 2009

We are pleased to provide an update on the capital campaign in support of the expansion of our facilities. When we launched the campaign, we knew our goal was ambitious, but we also knew our school community had the strength and spirit to accomplish what we set out to do, some way, somehow.

First, we want to thank the generous leadership support of our parent community to date. Their faith in the project and the future of the school, just like that of the original founding families back in 1970, has been unique and invaluable. We can 't thank them enough. This amazing support is what has gotten us to our announcement today.

In discussing our campus expansion plans with many families, a common question was how quickly their children could enjoy the benefits of the new facilities. The Board has taken action in response to this question. As a result of the generous support to date and unique opportunities brought on by current economic conditions, the Board of Trustees has been able to restructure our financing in order to start construction immediately. The plans rely on a combination of prudent fiscal management and, most importantly, a projection of continued generous financial support from our families. If all aligns as currently planned, we will be able to occupy our new space by the start of the 2010 school year — giving our children the advantage of our new facilities where their skills, talents and accomplishments can be highlighted.

This plan of action does not reduce but intensifies our need for your support. We look forward to working with the entire Turning Point community in expanding the Turning Point path for currently enrolled children and generations of children to come.
