Camp Hours
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 2:50pm
Early Morning Care 8:00am – 9:00am (free of charge)
After Camp Care 3:00pm – 6:00pm ($20 per day)

REGISTRATION
Registration is open to all Turning Point students entering Primary through Level 6 in the Fall. Registration is on a first come, first served basis beginning on Monday, February 1, 2010. You are encouraged to register early as space is limited.

Return this completed form, with deposit (deposit is applied to tuition) in the enclosed envelope before April 16, 2010. Please fill out a separate application for each camper.

PAYMENT
Registration: $200.00 deposit
Registration after April 16: $250.00 deposit (includes late fee)
Final payment due: June 4, 2010

CONTRACTS
Summer Camp contracts will be mailed on May 7, 2010. Signed contracts and final payments will be due on Friday, June 4, 2010. If you have any questions regarding Summer Camp contracts or payments, please contact the Turning Point School business office at 310.841.2505 ext. 127

PLACEMENT
Campers will be divided into groups of approximately 20 children. Groups will be based on enrollment, but placement decisions will be made according to each camper’s developmental needs. Each group will be supervised by a full-time teacher, a full-time assistant, and in most groups, a part-time junior counselor. PRIMARY CAMPERS NEW TO TURNING POINT
If you are enrolling a child in camp who will be new to Primary in the Fall, it is mandatory that he/she attend the first two weeks of camp. It is strongly recommended that new Primary children enroll for the entirety of the four-week camp.

PRIMARY PHASE-IN (NEW AND RETURNING)
In order to provide a comfortable transition into summer camp, all new and returning Primary campers will “Phase-In” on the first day of camp, Tuesday, July 6, 2010. More information about “Phase-In” will be sent home with camp contracts.

DAYCARE
Daycare will be offered from 3:00 – 6:00pm for $20.00 per day. Nutritious snacks will be provided daily, as well as an engaging program provided by Daycare personnel. Age appropriate activities and projects will include water play, arts and crafts, science, cooking, sports, and music. The Game Room will also be available for Daycare use. Days can be pre-purchased and/or rolled over from the academic year for Camp Daycare. Literary Magazine

In addition to music, art, and drama, Middle School students are given yet another opportunity to share their expression with the community via Turning Point School’s literary magazine. This extension of the student's creative writing elective is edited and produced by the students themselves. Students are given staff positions and trained in a range of publishing skills, from layout and design to thematic accord and creative flow. The theme and title change each year but the content always includes an eclectic assortment of poems, short stories, and illustrations. With each new edition we are continuously impressed with the depth and sensitivity revealed in the magazine. The finished product is a showcase for individual voices and an inspiration to the community each year it is produced.
