Admission Procedures
| 1. Visit Turning Point School |
| Prospective Primary and Elementary parents attend an Open House or Admissions Coffee; request an application packet. |
| 2. Submit an Application |
| Submit a completed application for admission and application fee to the school office as early as possible. Primary and K-1 due December 15, 2011; Levels 2-5 and Middle School due January 27, 2012. |
| 3. Take the ISEE Exam |
Middle School applicants must submit a Student Questionnaire and take the ISEE exam. Official results of the test must be sent directly to sent to us by ISEE. Our registration number is 054174.
Turning Point is ISEE test site on December 3, 2011 for grade levels 5-8. |
| 4. Attend a Classroom Observation |
| Parents of Primary and Elementary applicants attend a Classroom Observation and Program Orientation on a designated Thursday morning (8:45-11:00 am). |
| 5. Attend an Evening Open House |
| Prospective Middle School students and their parents attend the evening Open House in November or January, either before or after submitting an application. |
| 6. Interview |
| Parent Interviews will be conducted in December, January, February, and March. Student interviews will be scheduled during a Wednesday afternoon in February. Please contact the Admissions Office for scheduling information. |
| 7. Admissions Decisions |
| Families will be notified of the Admission Committee's decision by the end of March. |
| 8. Tuition Assistance |
Tuition assistance at Turning Point School is determined by a family's ability to contribute to the student's educational costs, an evaluation of the family's household income information, and review of the family's current tax information.
Parents requesting tuition assistance are required to complete a financial statement application and provide copies of W-2 forms and Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040 and all supporting schedules.) Detailed instructions are provided by the Business Office at ext 127. Applications are provided through the service of a third party vendor online and information is sent confidentially to Turning Point School. Families wishing to apply for tuition assistance should complete this form; return it with the enrollment application and fee prior to the deadline. Please fill out one form per family.
