Development
At Turning Point, gifts to our Development program are an important part of the financial plan. The generosity of our community (parents, grandparents, alumni and good friends) fulfills very specific needs and helps insure the short and long-term stability, security and operation of the school.
Annual Giving
Turning Point 's Annual Giving Campaign is the school's largest annual fundraising activity, and is the only activity in which each family is expected to participate. Annual Giving bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Turning Point education. In 2007-08 nearly 10% of the day to day operating budget was raised through Annual Giving; creating the margin of excellence for which we are known. Through this highly successful Campaign, the school meets a significant portion of the operating budget using tax deductible gifts rather than greater tuition and fees, which are not tax deductible.
PSA Activities
The Parent Support Association offers a wide range of opportunities for parents to be involved and support the school, including two PSA fundraisers: the Hoop A Thon and the Silent Auction. Each raises money for pre-designated extra-ordinary projects. These events are led by dedicated PSA committee chairs and staffed by countless parent volunteers. The concentration of resources on only two events (one child centered and one adult evening) maximizes the power of our parent body and produces tremendous financial benefit for the school and its' students.
Major Gifts
From building endowments to creating new programs to real estate acquisition, Major Gifts fulfill strategic plans and BIG dreams, The Major Gifts program is currently focused on growing our facility to include a new athletic field, outdoor environmental center, more parking and additional labs, studios, specialty classrooms, community gathering areas and more. Wonderfully generous gifts to this campaign come from current parents, grandparents, generous friends of the school, and foundations in active support of Turning Point; current and future generations of students alike.
